The HOTEL GRAN CLAUSTRE, nominated to the “best singular hotel " in the VII th summons awards to the Hotel Initiative 2006.
To the Awards that have granted during the last year to its restaurant Bruixes de Burriac, HOTEL GRAN CLAUSTRE, in Altafulla's locality (Costa Daurada) , they can add the important nomination to the candidacy " best singular hotel " in the recent edition of the in the VII th summons awards to the Hotel Initiative 2006.
Organized by the Magazine GRAN HOTEL. The Awards were granted last June 15th during a dinner of show in “Casa Batlló” in Barcelona attended by the director of Turisme de Catalunya, Mr. Delàs's Ignasi.
HOTEL GRAN CLAUSTRE and its restaurant BURRIAC's BRUIXES were inaugurated in March, 2004, and since then, they have received numerous recognitions. With only 2 years of life, the restaurant Bruixes de Burriac, of the hand of his chef Iban Tomás, already way has been made between the most importants restaurants, first of the region (1st reward as the best restaurant of 2004, granted by the Cofraria Gastronòmica of the Costa Daurada), and also of the province (1st Award Accèssit, best restaurant of 2005, and best chef of 2006, granted by the Association of Gourmets of Tarragona).
A few months ago it was selected as promoter of the Guide Gourmand 2006, receiving a punctuation of 8/10, and it passes to enter the prestigious list of the best restaurants of this guide. It also has been selected as new incorporation in the Guide Gourmetour 2006.
Last February HOTEL GRAN CLAUSTRE began its works of amplification The project foresees 19 new rooms: 13 doubles, 4 suites and 2 duplex suites.
The idea is that both the new rooms and the common zones breathe the air of the project of initial decoration, playing with colors in the name of the rooms, this time with the names tones of minerals and precious(beautiful) stones.
Its restaurant, Bruixes de Burriac, will have a new kitchen, dining room and wide rooms for meetings and conventions. To distinguishing from the project the zone of Spa and Wellness, a space thought to add up to the tranquility of the environment, the care of body and mind.
The amplification of Hotel Gran Claustre will be in functioning the summer season of the year 2007.
